About the author

B.Đ. Novaković spent most of her life in Belgrade, where she trained professionally in economics and marketing, while writing became an untold need. She worked as PR manager of a sports and recreation institution, after which her profession changed. At the educational seminar “Be better” – Shortcuts to a Healthy Life, organized by JCI Serbia in Belgrade, she gave a lecture. Her involvement in sports was her passport, a spiritual awakening, to the Middle East, where for several years she worked as a physical education teacher. Moving to Greece became a spiritual birth, and with it came inspiration for artistic creation. Her collections blend modern and traditional poetic expression. Biljana’s poems have been translated into Greek and Russian.
“I have always felt the need to write; my books are a testimony to my great journey, both physical and spiritual. Through writing I can express my authenticity and my own voice, and poetry demands that. When I am not writing, I travel, and when I am not traveling, I do humanitarian work.”
